Christmas Concert

Our Christmas Concert, as always, was a truly heart-warming affair. This year it consisted of traditional songs (Incy Wincy Spider, The Wheels On The Bus) and that well-loved story of snow, bubbles, tigers and spacemen, you know the one? A visit from Father Christmas saw lots of smiling faces and a raffle, cake stall and bouncing Santa game raised yet more funds to support the Nursery Group…£350, to be precise! So, again, thank you to everyone involved. A special ‘Thank You’ to a Mum & Gran who both made personal donations – we really are grateful for your support.

Christmas Shopping Evening
The Christmas Shopping Evening fundraiser in early December was a resounding success. It far exceeded our expectations and raised almost £600 It was as if Christmas had come early, not least because our friend from the North Pole popped in. The stallholders were happy, the customers were happy, the committee was happy – that’s Christmas! Thank you to all our stallholders for their generosity, our customers, who bought tickets and raffles tickets, and to Wateringbury School for allowing us to use their hall. The committee (as always) worked extremely hard organising the event and keeping it going during the evening – THANK YOU so very much, you should be extremely proud of yourselves.

Wateringbury School Fayre
Thank you all for your help and creativity in donating filled Jam Jars for the Wateringbury School Fayre. Our stall was very popular and sold out after an hour and half – and the best news is we raised £100!!

Easter Fun Day
Our Easter Fun Day was…just that! With the threat of rain ever present, we were unsure whether we’d survive the morning without a downpour, but luck was on our side and we all had a tremendous time. The children spent their pocket money on an Easter bunny hunt, a soft toy and Easter egg tombola, ‘ bouncing chicks and bunnies’ and a toy jumble, whilst mums, dads and grandparents spent theirs on our best-ever cake stall and tea with hot-cross buns; everybody left smiling and we feel we spread a little happiness that day! We managed to raise a lot of funds for the Nursery so a HUGE thank you to the committee for their organisation and running the stalls, but especially to all those that donated cakes, toys, clothes and their time – we are extremely grateful. We raised over £370 which we couldn’t have done without all your support.
