Our indoor area is a large spacious hall, which has lots of natural light and includes a separate room for our Children's Cafe and for facilitating small group activities.
On a day to day basis we divide our indoor space to accommodate a quiet book corner, mark making, ICT, discovery, problem solving and role play. However, activities are changed daily to cater for children's individual likes and needs.
Outdoor
The outdoor environment at Teston & Wateringbury Nursery Group is just as important as our indoor environment.
The pre-school routine is based on free flow sessions where the children can choose to extend their play both in and outdoors, whatever the weather.
Our outdoor provision provides lots of rich and stimulating opportunities for children to develop and learn. That's why we've invested in lots of new outdoor equipment and a new outdoor space which includes an all weather surface for all year round play.
Green Frog Club
We've launched a Green Flog Club. This nature club aims to introduce every child to simple aspects of nature and the environment through fun, interesting and challenging mini projects. For example, as part of the planned activities, we have created a sensory garden, made and observed a bug garden and learned about recycling.
All children are members of the Green Frog Club and help to think of ideas and plan our mini projects, as well as having hands-on fun and experiences through topics such as seasons, life cycles and mini beasts.
