Our pre-school is based at Teston Village Hall and has been providing high quality care and education for 2 to 5 year old children since 1966. We are a registered charity (No 1044257) and a non-profit making organisation.
We are registered by Ofsted and we are also members of the Pre-school Learning Alliance
We have a dedicated staff team of seven at our pre-school. Their collective experience and expertise at our pre-school spans almost 60 years.
Their level of commitment helps to create a very stable environment for our children.
We operate a Key Person System where a particular member of staff is assigned to each child. Each Key Person aims to form a strong relationship with the child and his / ner family and monitors the child's progress regularly.
An active Parental Management Committee overseas the management of the pre-school and also organises fundraising events to enable the pre-school to buy new equipment and to fund new projects.
We pride ourselves on providing:-Quality pre-school care and education tailored to the needs of individual childrenLots of fun and the chance to make friends with other children and adultsCarefully planned child-led and adult led activities to encourage all-round development of each child
We aim to encourage every individual child to learn and develop through high quality play that is tailored to them, using the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
We allow them to develop at their own pace and in their own way whilst having fun, making friends and learning as they play. They will then become confident, secure children who, when the time comes, are better prepared for school.
We work closely with parents/carers to build on the children’s interests and abilities through enjoyable play and we feed back information so that you can build on what we’ve done back at home too. It’s very much a two-way process and we want you to get involved and talk to us too.
